M2M - Give a Little Love (Live @ Disney)

Files under Music | No Comments »

Everytime I think I’ve had enough of you I take you back again
Not because I need a friend
Just because I can’t pretend
Like the others do
You think you really serious
Clever and mysterious
Talking like you’re dangerous
Talking like a fool.

Everyday there’s someone else who wants to get with me I’m telling you
If you know what’s good for you
Treat me like you used to do
Love me like before
Coz all I can do
is watch
and wonder
where the
boy I know has gone.
You say that you want me
well it’s
time to
tell your friends
where they belong.

You can find it in your heart
Give a little love
Have a little faith
In the two of us
You can find it in your song
Give a little love
Have a little faith
In the two of us
Coz all I can do
is watch
and wonder
where the
boy I know has gone.

Little boy I don’t want anything to do with you get on your knees
I’m the one you have to please
Not the one you want to be
I don’t think you’re cool
Coz soon you can only
watch and wonder
where the
girl you
knew has gone.
And then you will realise that
everything you
did to me
was wrong.

You can find it in your heart
Give a little love
Have a little faith
In the two of us
You can find it in your song
Give a little love
Have a little faith
In the two of us
Coz all you can do
is watch
and wonder
where the
girl you
knew has gone.

And do you really wanna lose a friend
You gotto understand or it has to end
Coz I don’t wanna wait for you anymore
Can’t take it anymore.

You can find it in your heart ( find it in your heart )
Give a little love ( give a little love )
Have a little faith ( have a little faith )
In the two of us ( in the two of us )
You can find it in your song ( find it in your song )
Give a little love ( give a little love )
Have a little faith ( have a little faith )
In the two of us ( in the two of us )
Coz soon you ( find it in your heart ) can only watch and wonder ( give a little love ) where the ( have a little faith ) girl you knew has gone. ( in the two of us )
You say that you want( find it in your song ) me well it’s time ( give a little love ) to tell your friends ( have a little faith )
where they belong.( in the two of us )

You can find it in your heart ( find it in your heart )
Give a little love ( give a little love )
Have a little faith ( have a little faith )
In the two of us ( in the two of us )
You can find it in your song ( find it in your song )
Give a little love ( give a little love )
Have a little faith ( have a little faith )
In the two of us ( in the two of us )

I think we’re alone now - Tiffanty

Children behave
Thats what they say when were together
And watch how you play
They dont understand
And so were

Chorus:
Running just as fast as we can
Holdin on to one anothers hand
Tryin to get away into the night
And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say

I think were alone now
There doesnt seem to be anyone around
I think were alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound

Look at the way
We gotta hide what were doin
cause what would they say
If they ever knew
And so were

Repeat chorus

I think were alone now
There doesnt seem to be anyone around
I think were alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound

haha seems to me that almost all my collection of pop songs are in the 1980s :P.. hehe its kinda true, around 60% is 1980s and the rest are the modern pops that were sang by singers with their own style, not by following trends and etc.

Foolish Beat - Debbie Gibson

Files under Music | No Comments »

There was a time when
Broken hearts and broken dreams
Were over.
There was a place where
All you could do was
Wish on a four leaf clover.

But now is a new time
There is a new place
Where dreams just can’t come true.
It started the day when I left you

CHORUS:
I could never love again the way that I loved you
I could never cry again like I did when I left you
And when we said goodbye,
Oh the look in your eyes
Just left me beside myself without your heart
(without your heart)
I could never love again now that we’re apart

VERSE 2:
When I was sorry
It was too late to turn around (turn around)
And tell you so.
There was no reason
There was no reason
Just a foolish beat of my heart.

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
Oh, can’t you see I’m not fooling nobody
Don’t you see the tears are falling down my face
Since you went away
Break my heart, you slipped away
Didn’t know I was wrong
Never meant to hurt you now you’re gone

I could never love again now that we’re apart.
(now that we’re apart)
I could never love again now that we’re apart.

I’ve Never Been To Me - Charlene

Files under Music | No Comments »

Hey lady, you lady
cursing at your life
you’re a discontented mother
and a regimented wife
I `ve no doubt
you dream about the things you never do
but I wish someone had a talk to me like I wanna talk to you

Oh, I’ve been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run
Took the hand of a preacher man
and we made love in the sun
But I ran out of places and friendly faces
Because I had to be free
I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Please lady please lady
don’t just walk away
Cause I have this need to tell you
why I’m all alone today
I can see so much of me
still living in your eyes
won’t you share a part
of a weary heart that has lived a million lives

Oh, I’ve been to Niece and the isle of Greece
when I sipped champagne on a yacht
I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo
and showed them what I’ve got
I’ve been undressed by kings
and I’ve seen some things that a woman ain’t s’pose to see
I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Hey, you know what paradise is?
It’s a lie
a fantasy we created about people and places
as we like them to be
but you know what truth is?
it’s that little baby you’re holding
and it’s that man you fought with this morning
the same one you are gonna make love to tonight
that’s truth that’s love

Sometimes I’ve been to crying for unborn children
that might have made me complete
but I, I took the sweet life
I never knew I’d be bitter from the sweet
I spent my life exploring
the subtle whoring
that costs too much to be free
hey lady I’ve been to paradise
but I’ve never been to me…

I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Good Movie! Just watched it yesterday at cathay! It was almost fulll! haha but its common lar as its the first day release during ytd…

The movie is very alike to Johnny English those spy commedy film! I would rate it 8/10 a hell lot better then the “dont mess with zohan” which is an S*it comedy movie.. Watch this get smart if you’re wanting to watch a nice comedy movie!

Plot

Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is an analyst of CONTROL whom always hoped to be promoted to a Field Operative. He is a great analyst but not a good Field Operative. Many laugh at his ambitions due to him being quite awkward, clumsy, and not very bright. Despite scoring extremely well for the Field Operative test, Chief (Alan Arkin) decides not to promote him due to being such a good analyst and that Chief wants him to stay helping him in that way. Meanwhile, Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson) arrives back at CONTROL headquarters from a mission. He is the top agent in CONTROL and is also a good buddy of Max. Max walks out of headquarters disappointed that he has not been promoted and accidentally bumps into a lady jogging. He returns to headquarters only to fine out that someone had penetrated into CONTROL headquarters. He finds the lady that he had bumped into was actually Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). After finding out that some people are coming his way, he creates an awkward diversion and accidentally hits Chief in the head. The perpetrators had stolen the files of agents of CONTROL thus many of the agents identities are uncovered and assassinated.

Due to the uncovering of the agents, Chief promotes Max and partners him with Agent 99 to go undercover to find out who has been supplying nuclear weapons to KAOS, CONTROL’s nemesis. They travel to Russia and take him down and blow up the bakery factory which was a cover for a nuclear weapons factory. Chief sends Agent 23 to overlook the clear up of the factory but Agent 23 does not find any nuclear weapon. Max is suspected of lying to CONTROL and being a double agent and is put in a cell to hold him. Meanwhile Siegfried (Terence Stamp) makes a threat to blow up Los Angeles and Chief, Agent 99 and Agent 23 goes to Washington D.C to persuade the President of the United States (James Caan) to do something about it as the Vice President ignores the threat. KAOS decides that since the Vice President does not believe them, they will set up a bomb at a concert to kill the President. Max escapes from the cell and locates Chief to tell him of the bomb (he knew because of a radio transmission). Chief trusts that Max is not a double agent and they set out to find the bomb in order to save the President and thousands of people there. The Secret Service claims that there is no bomb as they have checked the area before the President arrived. They go and try to figure out how to get into the concert when Agent 23 suggests that there is no bomb. This makes Max suspect that Agent 23 is double agent.

When Agent 23 finds out that his cover is blown, he grabs Agent 99 hostage and get the briefcase that holds the detonation to the bomb. After a action packed chase, with Max almost killed and Agent 23 killed, Chief, Agent 99 and Max figures out that the bomb is going to explode when the piece Ode to Joy hits the last note. They make a mad dash to the concert hall and Max pushes the conductor down just before they hit the last note. Max and Agent 99 starts dating and after a hilarious ending, the credits roll.

Firefox 3 launch a success: 8 million downloads in 24 hours

Files under Technology | No Comments »

Mozilla’s Firefox 3 release event yesterday was an epic success. The servers logged over 8 million downloads during the 24-hour download day, and Mozilla has declared victory after exceeding its initial goal of 5 million downloads.

I was at the official launch party at Mozilla headquarters yesterday in Mountain View, where some revelers stayed all night to party and watch the download counter. During the event, Mozilla chairwoman Mitchell Baker’s speech was broadcast live from Seoul, Korea over the Internet to all of Mozilla’s offices. She reflected on the success of Firefox 3 and illuminated some of Mozilla’s long-term goals.
“Today reflects so many great things about Mozilla,” she said. The download day is the collaborative achievement of “millions of people on a global basis doing things that everyone thought was impossible.” Mozilla is all about “keeping and building an Internet that is open and participatory, where individuals have control.”

During the interview, she answered several questions from members of the Firefox community who were participating via an IRC channel. When she was asked what percentage of browser market share Mozilla aims to achieve, she said that Mozilla wants only enough to be able to achieve the organization’s primary goal, which is building an open web. “We want enough market share to be able to move the Internet toward our goals. There is no exact number,” she said. “It is not our goal to be a single source that unilaterally determines where the web goes. Mozilla is about having fun and building a better Internet.”

A big part of Firefox’s success is its spirited grassroots marketing efforts. I discussed this with Mozilla evangelist Asa Dotzler, whose team was instrumental in organizing download day. Mozilla’s strategy of inclusiveness and participatory advancement isn’t confined to just software development. The same principles extend to Mozilla’s publicity projects. The grassroots marketing campaigns give users who lack programming expertise a way to become active participants and contributors. Through the SpreadFirefox portal, those users can become an important part of the Firefox project. Grassroots marketing is also a major win, said Dotzler, because word of mouth is one of the strongest vehicles for directly promoting Firefox adoption.

I also asked Dotzler some questions about the process through which Mozilla’s download day statistics will enter the Guinness World Records. The server logs and download information will be given to an independent review board from Oregon State University Open Source Labs, which will then conduct a thorough audit, weed out duplicate and incomplete downloads, and determine an exact number.

The first 24 hours are over, but the downloads continue to pour in. At press time, the official counter shows that the current rate is approximately 5,500 downloads per minute, and the total number of downloads is roughly 8.8 million. It’s further confirmation that the Firefox web browser is rapidly becoming mainstream; it has long since ceased being a niche product confined to early adopters and enthusiasts. Firefox has had a profound impact on the web and will likely continue to play a central role in shaping the future of the Internet.
